Just one more quick post about the grammys.
Amy Winehouse has one 2 awards so far, for best new artist and song of the year. Does anyone see a problem with this?? SHE IS A DRUG ADDICT!!!!!!!!! Is this the role model we want winning awards and getting popular and getting honored by winning a grammy?
I do not rant much on this blog, but I think this is rediculous. I know there are lots of music people that use drugs, but I don't ever remember watching Motley Crue up on stage accepting a grammy. I might be wrong, but so is this drugged out train wreck that is winning musics most coveted award.
PATHETIC.

I just can't agree with you on this one. I always think these awards are about the music.
Mozart was an alcholic.
Keep the awards about the music and leave the personal judgements to the tabloids.

Don't worry about my, I love the discourse. Mozart was never caught on video breathing either...but some how, he lived ;-)
I think the first clue that Amy had a problem was her song "Rehab"...and I quote "They said I ought to go to rehab. I said no, no, no." I thought that was pretty clear.
She's freaky drug addict for sure, but she's got a great talent for singing. I don't think she should be ignored for her talent because she's on drugs. Unless you can prove they are performance enhancing...oops...that's sports. She's hardly the first drug using grammy winner. I'd be more upset about the pedophiles that have won.

Amy does have catchy music that is not the norm for society in the present time.

Sorry, I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Amy Winehouse is very talented and an excellent singer. Rehab was one of my very favorite songs last year. That's what the Grammys are about, so I think she deserves it.
I don't think she makes a great role model...matter of fact, she makes a terrible role model, but truly, I don't think singers and actors should be looked to as role models anyway...that's not their job. Parents need to be the role models. Also, while Motley Crue never won a Grammy, there have been many winners who in my opinion are just as terrible as role models...Naughty by Nature, Dr. Dre, Eminem,....uh, Britney Spears.

I hear you but I do not agree. Yes, it pisses me off but it is about the music and she is very talented. She has a voice that not many people in the world have.
As for my little Max, looking up to her oneday, well that is another thing and I guess this is why it is so important to have a strong family because then our kids know the difference between right and wrond-hopefully.
Ok...I do not usually comment but I have to say this. Amy Whinehouse yes has a interesting sound and style but come on. When I think of talented artists I think of those who can perform outside the studio, whithout the fine tune of a machine. Though She is interesting her performance lacks talent. We were watching the same performance right?????
